Risk identification is the key
The best way to run a thorough risk audit is to approach it through operating units, departments and work teams. The top management in your establishment can provide key insights but the people best equipped to detect crisis-producing situations are mostly further down in the organization. These employees should meet regularly to formulate plans and budgets, to access competition and their own performance as well as to identify opportunities for improvement. Risk identification should be prioritized on their list of things to do.
To be systematic in identifying potential crisis, discussions should be conducted in all domains of your establishment, and at every level. Don't leave it to the owners or senior doctors or administrative heads. Sometime an employee at a very low level may spoil the game and you or your senior management may not be even aware that someone is quite angry and frustrated.
